Personal Accounts FAQ

Why is my product changing?

In order to continue to provide unparalleled customer service, we are simplifying our product structure and enhancing features and benefits. To ensure all customers receive these new benefits, we are moving legacy checking, savings, and money market accounts into our new products.

Why are your fees changing?

To continue to offer best-in-class service and look to make future investments in the customer experience, we made the decision to update our personal and business fees. We've heard our customer feedback and are eliminating the ATM Balance Inquiry Fee.

Is my account number going to change?

Great news! Your account number is NOT changing.

Can I still use my debit card?

Yes! Your debit card is NOT changing.

All my bills are set up with this account, do I have to reset my Bill Pay?

No, your online banking preferences, including Bill Pay, will NOT change.

Can I still log in to online and/or mobile banking with my username and password?

Yes, you can continue to use online and mobile banking as you do today.

Do I have to do anything?

No! We are taking care of everything. Continue to use your debit card, checks, and digital banking tools as usual.

Can I just move into this new product now?

If you'd like to start taking advantage of new features like the Grace Amount for Overdrawn balances1 or the elimination of the ATM Balance Inquiry Fee, we can move you to the new product before March, 2024. Contact a banker today and you can start enjoying your new features and benefits within five (5) business days.

1Grace Amount (de minimis exclusion from overdraft fees): If you unintentionally overdraw your account and the ledger balance after all items have been processed for that day is $25 or less no overdraft fees will be assessed. A $25 continuous overdraft fee will be assessed every 6th business day your account remains overdrawn. Overdraft Fees are $35 per item and can be imposed for covering overdrafts created by check, in-person withdrawals, ATM withdrawals or other electronic means. Whether your overdraft is paid is discretionary and the bank reserves the right not to pay. A deposit must be made to bring your overdraft balance positive immediately.

Can I stay in my current product?

No, your product will not be able to be maintained on our system after March 4, 2024.

Why did I receive multiple letters in the mail?

If you are a primary account holder on multiple deposit accounts, including checking, savings, or money market accounts, you could have received multiple letters. This is not an error. We are required to notify customers of changes, and if you hold multiple accounts that are changing you should receive one letter per account.

What isn't changing?

Your account number, debit card, and online and/or mobile banking credentials are NOT changing. If you have any credit card, loan, retirement, health savings, or Certificate of Deposit products with Tri City, those are NOT changing. Please refer to the letter you received for a list of features on your account that are changing.

How can I find what my current interest rate is?

All current rates/annual percentage yields are listed here. Rates are accurate as of the effective date listed, are variable, and are subject to change without notice.
